Web to print software and print solution for Magento shops

About printQ

printQ is an application developed by CloudLab for creative print shop functions. This web to print software is one part of the open-source Adobe Magento ecosystem designed to support eCommerce. printQ cloud-based software is suitable for both B2B and B2C customers and enables seamless integration into existing Magento shops. Its range of functions can be expanded via the Magento Extension Store.

PrintQ allows the creation of greeting and business cards, voucher codes for printed products, and product catalogs. CloudLab provides printQ functionalities via an HTML5 editor, which can also be used to create graphics comprising different layers. It’s a 'What You See Is What You Get' editor, which displays results immediately. Live previews are available in both 2D and 3D images, graphics, and texts can also be imported, tweaked, and aligned with existing elements via the editor.

The end-user needs no programming knowledge to connect to newsletter service providers, shipping interfaces from providers such as DHL, and payment providers such as PayPal because these functions are already available within Magento. After editing, printQ generates high-resolution PDF files with media, trim, bleed, and crop boxes. These print files are then available for further processing via HKS, the CMYK color model, or the Pantone color matching system, ready for offset printing.

Pros

I can’t speak to how easy this software works from an IT standpoint but it works seamlessly for users

Cons

I can’t think of anything. Maybe pricing could be a bit lower for what you get.

This solves the problem of needing to print a lot of different materials at different quantities at different times. It is so much easier than even using a local print shop sometimes.

Pros

This is a great way to turn your digital projects into good old-fashioned print materials. It is easy to lay out pages and select exactly what you want printed. There is nothing like touching your work.

Cons

There is no way to replicate touching different paper samples to decide exactly what you are looking for. Sometimes the final product is not exactly what you thought it would be.

We were looking for a 3D Editor tool and were impressed by their references. After a very promising sales process the project turned out to be a disaster. Very high fees, very high development hours, very slow in every process. Sometimes felt like a scam as false promises for development time were made and the results never came although they already charged 5-figure fees at the beginning. There a lot of better solutions on the market with only fraction of the costs and a working customer service. Wasted one year on that company without any working results. If you are a corporation with a lot of time and huge budgets they could help you with your solutions but otherwise we can not recommend this company for web2print solutions.

Pros

The overall frontend design of the editor looks quite good and easy to use for the customer.

Cons

Their customer service is the worst. They offer no helpful guidance, the software development process of customizations takes forever although they pass on to sub-development companies in East Europe for 1/3 of the price you pay for the development hours. Their backend is flawed it always interferes with the Magento system. Highly recommend to work with the solution if you have a huge capable IT-Team and never let them customize the software for you.

It is a fantastic solution for businesses that have the capital to spend though at this price point you may be able to build it out on your own.

Pros

Full scale platform that can do almost anything you can imagine in the web to print realm. Easy setup, great tools including 3D moduling and preview

Cons

The price. SAAS does not come much more expensive than this. At over 10K USD just for initial license not including anything added on afterward.

Based on Magento.
Tons of modules and integrations out of the box.

Cons

Sometimes final product will differ from your expectations. It's different than physically seeing final product.
